In this section, you can easily share news with your guests, which will be displayed directly on the menu. For example, let them know about an upcoming holiday, a new dish or drink on the menu, a special suggestion... Anything worth sharing!
You can find the News tab under Marketing Tools.
Regular news item:
Pop up news item:
When you click 'Add Bews item,' the news editor will open:
Here you can configure every aspect of your news item, from a title and image to the content you want to share.
Choose your news type. Do you want the news to appear as a pop up or on top of your menu? A pop up appears directly after scanning the QR code. A regular news item appears on top of the menu, just as information.
Check the publication status here: so you can easily see whether the item is live or still a draft.
Add some formatting to your content: make text bold, italic, or insert a link to another page.
If desired, you can choose to display the news item only on specific menus.
Determine on which channel the news article is shown.
Set an expiration date here: after this date, the news item will no longer be visible. This is useful, for example, when you're promoting an event that should disappear afterwards.
Select if you want the news item to be visible only from a certain date and moment onwards: before this date, the news item will not yet be visible. This is useful if you want to schedule your news item now, but don't want it to be visible until later.
Link the news item to a time slot. This way, the news item will only be shown during the given time slot. You can only link a timeslot if you already created one.
When creating a time slot group, make sure to also add time slots. If no time slots have been added, you will still be able to link time slots to a news item, and it will indicate that the news item has been published. There will no pop up to alert you that the time slot group you linked does not have time slots.
Before linking a time slot to a news item, run a double check if you actually added time slots to your time slot group. If no time slots have been added, you will see 'No time slots found'.

That's it! You're now ready to start sharing news and updates with your guests.
