In August we made ordering easier for guests with allergies and dietary needs, added cash payments on kiosks, and gave venues more control over payments, loyalty and devices from the backoffice.
Here are the highlights:
For your guests
Allergen and dietary information on the web app. Guests can now set their allergen and dietary preferences in the web ordering app and see matching items highlighted, as they already could on the kiosk. Allergens also appear directly on product tiles, toppings and extras.
Friendlier loyalty. A new "Points hidden" mode lets venues run a Leat loyalty programme without showing point balances or prices. Members are greeted by their first name instead.
Smoother reordering and browsing. When guests reorder, all variants of a product now sit together on one tile. Custom product labels now show on list-style menus as well as tile menus, and shared favourites open on a redesigned landing page.
Kiosks
Pay with cash. Kiosks can accept cash through an integrated cash machine (CIKAM or CashDro). The screen shows live feedback on cash inserted, the amount still due and the change returned.
Manage kiosks from the backoffice. You can check whether a kiosk is online. You can also send it a test print, reload it, sign it out or restart it, without walking over to the device. Remote actions are recorded in the venue activity log.
Easier to read, easier to choose. Products with sizes (S, M, L) get their own selection layout, and allergen icons appear on topping tiles. Dietary tags rotate instead of stacking up, and payment messages have been rewritten to be clearer and friendlier.
Built for more hardware. Receipt printers can be pinned to their MAC address, so printing continues when the network assigns a new IP address. Kiosks now run on a wider range of older devices and recover automatically if they end up on an outdated version. Kiosks on restricted networks can also switch off video optimisation.
For venue and organisation managers
Single sign-on. Your team can log in to the backoffice with their Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account, and you can require SSO for everyone in your organisation.
Payment methods, set up by you. You can choose which Mollie payment methods to offer and in which order.
Faster promotions and targeted news. Promotions have a new simple mode with only the essentials, and news items can be limited to specific hours. Food Halls also get their own timeslots.
Kitchen and printing. You can send a test print to a cloud printer from its device page and add a custom QR code or barcode to printed receipts.
Venues on Crunchtime can let the kitchen mark orders as ready, which notifies the guest automatically.
Better reporting and a faster backoffice. Reports now show which kiosk took each order. The orders overview groups orders by the venue's local day and lists takeaway and delivery orders by their pickup or delivery date. The backoffice itself loads noticeably faster.
Integrations and reliability
We improved syncing with Recreatex, CloudPOS, Lightspeed K-Series, Deliverect and Flowmate. Recreatex venues can now build menu categories from article categories. Takeaway and counter orders now reach Lightspeed K-Series instantly, and Multisafepay payments are handled more reliably.
