Tickets are not sent to Lightspeed POS

If orders are not being forwarded from OrderBilly to your Lightspeed POS system, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

The Lightspeed Liteserver is offline

The Lightspeed Liteserver must always be connected to power and have a stable network connection. If either of these is not functioning correctly, OrderBilly will not be able to send orders to your POS system.

orderBilly has lost its connection to Lightspeed

To verify and restore the connection:

  • Log in to the OrderBilly backoffice.

  • Navigate to Settings > POS integration.

  • Check if the connection with Lightspeed is active.

If the connection has failed, you will need to perform a reconnect. After reconnecting, the system should function correctly again.

Note: If you notice that a new product or category is not being synced with OrderBilly, this could also indicate a connection issue.

Run a full health check

You can run a full health check by going to Settings > POS > Click on 'Run full health check'.

You might stumble upon certain issues:

  • Payment methods without a POS mapping: the payment method is not yet linked to an existing POS payment method. Go to Settings > POS > Configuration to map the payment method to the POS Payment method you created for these type of payments.

  • Service fees cannot be booked in the POS: create a Service fee product in your Lightspeed POS to make sure this can be linked to Billy. After creating it, link it via Settings > POS > Connection paramaters.

  • Discounts cannot be booked in the POS: create a Discount product in your Lightspeed POS to make sure this can be linked to Billy. After creating it, link it via Settings > POS > Connection paramaters.

Hardware Issues

If a specific printer stops printing certain orders, it is best to contact your Lightspeed hardware provider. They will be able to provide more detailed instructions to resolve the issue.

Important: orderBilly forwards orders to Lightspeed, but from that point onward, all subsequent processes are managed by your POS system.
