Whether orderBilly is connected to your POS changes where your categories come from.
đ My orderBilly is connected to a POS
You can have two kinds of categories, side by side on the same menu:
Categories linked to your POS, recognisable by your POS logo next to the name. These come from your POS when Auto-link products and categories is switched on in your POS sync settings. Your POS is leading: create and rename these categories in your POS, and add products to them there. They appear in orderBilly with the next sync.
Categories that only exist in orderBilly, with no POS logo. Create and edit these in orderBilly, as explained below.
orderBilly syncs with your POS automatically every night. Can't wait? Go to Catalogue > Products and click Sync with POS. Read more about your POS sync settings.

You manage all your categories in orderBilly. Follow the steps below.
Create a category in orderBilly
Go to Catalogue > Categories. You'll see an overview of your existing categories.
Click the green Add category button.
Enter a name for the category. Optionally, add a description and an image.
Want to translate the name and description? Click the language icon next to the field and add your translations right away.
Click Save. Your category has been created!
Good to know: A new category is still empty. Add products to it and add it to a menu before your customers can see it.
