Do you run several venues in one building, on one festival site or in one market hall? Then you can bring them together for your guests in two ways: with a Food Hall or with a Place.
Food Hall: your guests order from several venues in one basket and pay once. Ideal for a food court where guests want a burger from one stand and a drink from another.
Place: one branded page that lists all your venues, as a list or on a map. Your guests pick a venue and order there. Ideal for a shopping mall or festival directory.
Good to know: Food Halls and Places are switched on per organisation by the orderBilly team.

What is a Food Hall?
A Food Hall bundles menus from several venues of your organisation into one ordering experience. Your guest scans one QR code, browses all the stands, puts products from different stands in one basket and pays once.
Behind the scenes, every stand still gets its own order with only its own products. All orders share the same pickup code and table number, so your guest only has to remember one code.
How to get a Food Hall
A Food Hall is created by the orderBilly team. We only need two things from you: a name for your Food Hall and the master venue (see below). After that, you set up everything else yourself.
You find your Food Halls in your organisation, in the Food Halls tab in the menu on the left.
To manage a Food Hall, you need an organisation role with access to Food Halls, like Organisation Manager. Read how to manage roles at organisation level.
The master venue
Every Food Hall has one master venue. This is more than a label. The Food Hall uses the master venue for:
Payments: guests pay through the payment provider of the master venue, and payouts go there.
News: the news on your Food Hall is the news of the master venue.
Theming, delivery zones and the custom domain.
Careful: Changing the master venue changes all of the above at once, including where the money goes.
Set up your Food Hall
A Food Hall has these tabs. You only see the tabs you have permission for.
Settings
The guest link of your Food Hall, ready to copy. You can't change this link.
Name: the name you see in the backoffice and in your reports.
Display name: the name your guests see, in every language. Left empty? Then guests see the name.
Master venue, checkout method, tips and order messages.
Menus
Add the menus of the stands in your Food Hall. You can choose from every menu of every venue in your organisation.
Drag the menus in the order you want. Your guests see them in that same order, right away.
Removing a menu from your Food Hall doesn't change the menu itself. You can add it again later.
Products, categories and prices still come from the menu of each stand.
Custom fields
Set which custom fields are added upon checkout for the whole Food Hall and add your own extra questions, like a discount code field.
Selling tools
Set up automatic discounts, cross-sells, service fees and spotlights once for the whole Food Hall, instead of on every stand. A Food Hall spotlight can combine products from different stands.
A discount or service fee on the Food Hall is charged once and then split over the orders of the stands, based on the value of each order. The amounts on the separate orders are that split, not extra charges. Service fees and discounts on the menu of a stand still apply on top.
News
The News tab shows the news of your master venue. To change it, edit the news of the master venue.
Timeslots
In Timeslots, you manage the timeslots of your Food Hall.
Loyalty
Here, you can add your LEAT account for the whole Food Hall.
What your guests see
Every menu in your Food Hall that isn't hidden shows on the Food Hall page.
A stand that is closed shows as Not available at this time. Guests can't order from it.
If the basket still holds products from a closed stand, the whole checkout is refused. Your guest then removes those products or starts a new basket.
The minimum order price is checked on the total of the whole basket.
Your Food Hall on the kiosk (new)
On a kiosk, the stands of your Food Hall are shown in a bar at the top of the menu. This bar now shows every stand as a large tile with a full image, so your guests recognise each stand at a glance.
Use the arrows next to the tiles to jump to the next stand. The arrows skip closed stands, so your guests always land on a stand that's open.
The large tiles are only on the kiosk. On the web app, the stands look the same as before.
What is a Place?
A Place groups several venues of your organisation on one branded page, for example all restaurants in a shopping mall or all stands on a festival site. You choose whether your venues are shown as a list or on a map. Your guests tap a venue and order there, with their own basket per venue.
A venue can be part of one Place. The look of your Place comes from a theme of your organisation. Read more about theming.
Open a venue on its own menu
Every venue in your Place can now have its own menu linked to it. When your guest taps that venue, they go straight to that menu, instead of to the list of all menus of the venue. Choose No menu to show the normal menu list of the venue.
Good to know: A linked menu is shown on your Place even when the menu is hidden. That way, you can offer a menu on your Place without showing it on your venue page. Want to take it off your Place? Unlink the menu, because hiding it is not enough.
Something not right?
A guest can't check out in the Food Hall.
Most likely one of the stands in the basket is closed. All stands in the basket need to be open.
A stand doesn't show in the Food Hall.
Check that its menu is added in the Menus tab and that the menu isn't hidden.
I can't find a menu when adding it to my Food Hall.
You can only add menus of venues in the same organisation that aren't in the Food Hall yet.
The fee on the Food Hall doesn't match the fees on the separate orders.
Both are right. The fee is charged once and split over the orders of the stands.
The arrows on the kiosk skip a stand.
That stand is closed right now. The arrows only jump to stands that are open.
