Adding a status screen

Updated this week

What is a status screen?

A status screen is similar to a livescreen but is intended for customers, allowing them to see real-time updates on their orders. For example, it could be a TV in your venue showing whether orders are being prepared or are ready, which is especially useful for take-away restaurants.

The difference from a livescreen is that a livescreen includes buttons to update order statuses, whereas a status screen is purely visual.

How to add a status screen?

When you go to the subtab 'Devices', press 'Create A Device' and choose 'Status Screen', this window will appear:

First, give the device a name.

Next, choose the language in which the live screen will be displayed.

When there are no orders, you can set a title and short message to display - for example: โ€œNo orders are being prepared right now. Scan the QR code to order.โ€

Then, select the menus that the device will handle and assign the relevant prep locations. Need more information about prep locations? [Click here].
