Adding a livescreen

Updated this week

What is a livescreen?

A livescreen is a screen in your kitchen where order receipts appear after customers place their orders. It shows different columns for incoming orders, busy orders and finished orders. It’s very useful for your kitchen staff.

You can scan the QR code with, for example, an iPad or computer and place it in the kitchen. The kitchen staff will then have an overview of all the orders and can mark them as ‘Preparing,’ and view finished orders. It will look like this:

How to add a livescreen?

Press Create a device, then select Livescreen. This screen will appear:

First of all you need to give your device a name.

The you have two toggles:

  • You can allow the device to resend notifications to the customer. For example, if you use SMS pick-up and the customer hasn’t received their order, you can resend the notification.

  • You can also allow the device to reprint receipts if they are dirty, wet, or damaged.

Then you need to select which menus will be used by the device.

Setting changes of the livescreen

Two quick handy actions you can do with the livescreen:

  1. The large blue button is very handy - it lets you update your stock directly from this screen. So, for example, if you’re in the kitchen and notice the chicken nuggets are out of stock, you can adjust it right here without having to go to the back office.

  2. You can also easily close menus by clicking the settings button at the top right. This is useful if, for example, the kitchen is overwhelmed and you want to temporarily close your menu.

When you click on the settings button, this screen on the right will pop up.

You can turn on the Automatically Complete toggle. This is useful for items that don’t require preparation time (for example, a beer). These orders won’t appear in the ‘preparation’ column - they’ll go directly to ‘finished.’ Your screen will then look like this:
