What are prep locations?
If you need to print items from a menu in different locations, you can create prep locations (e.g., bar, kitchen). You can then assign products to these locations, so they are printed on the corresponding printers.
How to set up prep locations?
Step 1: Create Prep Locations
Go to the Manage tab in your system.
Create “prep locations” - these are basically workstations or areas where specific products get prepared (e.g., "Bar", "Kitchen", "Bakery").
Step 2: Assign Products
Go to the Product Assignment tab.
Tell the system which products belong to which prep location. For example, assign all “Latte” and “Espresso” products to the “Bar” prep location.
Step 3: Link Devices
Each prep location can be connected to one or more devices (like a kitchen display or printer).
Go into the settings of the device and choose which prep location it should be connected to.
Important: If on the Product Assignment tab the bar is still red, it means some products have not yet been assigned to a prep location. Make sure to address this before proceeding.
