How to setup and connect to WIFI

Connecting the Sunmi orderprinter to WIFI

  1. Switch on the printer by a long press on the on/off (smallest) button on the side of the printer.

  2. Once the printer is switched on, again, do a long press on the on/off button and select 'Exit Kiosk' at the top right corner of your screen. Insert password '1234'

  3. Now go to the first page of the homescreen and click on 'settings' - 'network and internet' - Search for the WIFI Signal and insert the correct password.
    Once the password has been filled in correctly, the device will say that the wifi is connected.

  4. Go back to the apps overview and click on the 'BillySunmiApp'

  5. Now the printer has internet, you can scan the Device QR-code to link the printer to the correct orderBilly account or prep location.
    On the Sunmi orderprinter, click on 'Scan QR-code'


    The camera of the device will open and you can scan the QR-code in the orderBilly backoffice at 'devices & locations' - 'printers' - click on 'more' next to the printer and the QR-code will appear.

    If you're working with multiple menu's or multiple prep locations, you can determine here which orders should arrive on the printer.

Once this is done, you can simply turn the printer off and on and it will automatically find the WIFI network and load in the correct order screen.

Printer Settings

  1. My orders only
    This only applies to events where multiple orderprinters are used simultaneously to receive the same orders.

    When switched on, this functionality will show the orders accepted by this particular printer in the 'Finalized orders' screen.

  2. Auto Finalize
    Switch on for Tableservice and direct bar pick-up orders, switch off for Pick up with text notification and Take-away orders.

    When switched off, an incoming order will arrive in the 'New orders'. Once accepted, the order will go to the 'orders in progress'. This gives the staff the opportunity to manually finalize the order and notify the customer when their order is ready.

    When switched on, new orders can be accepted and automatically finalized. For all tableservice and direct bar pick-up orders, this is the correct setting.

  3. Repeat notification

    When switched on, the printer will continuously repeat the 'new order' notification until there are no more new orders and all orders are handled.

  4. Darkmode

    This is our Star Wars feature, welcome to the dark side.

  5. Test printer

    This pushes a ticket out of the printer as a test.

  6. Change menu

    This only applies to orderBilly accounts with multiple menus.
    Here you can modify the menu a printer should receive orders from.

  7. Logout

    Logging out will make the printer return to the Login screen. You'll need to scan the QR-code from the orderBilly backoffice to regain acces to the orderprinters' functionalities.
