How to add tables

A guide in managing how customers can choose a table while ordering for eat-in purposes. With a POS connection.

When ordering from a menu with tableservice, it's required to always have a table selected with the order.

Most of the times, depending on your QR-codes, the table will be automatically selected. But what if you want to add more tables or modify your floorplan in your POS?

  1. Modify tablenames
    Tablenames are required to be exactly the same in orderBilly as in your POS. With a sync, orderBilly retrieves those name to show to the customer and confirm that the order is made from the correct table.
    The same principle also applies here, first adjust in the POS, then synchronise with orderBilly.

    1. Go to your Lightspeed backoffice and select 'Floors'. There you'll see your floorplan and tables.

    2. Select a table and change the name.

    3. Go to your orderBilly backoffice and select 'floors and tables' and then press 'sync with POS' to retrieve the new table names.

Important notice!
If you want to change your Lightspeed floorplan completely, then notify the orderBilly team first! Your QR-codes on the table are always directly linked to a Lightspeed table. But when you modify your floorplan and delete tables to add new ones, the direct connection between your table QR-codes will be lost. We'll check together the best way to do your modifications.
