How to mark an addition value (temporarily) out of stock

Ran out of an option? Mark it as sold out or pause it for a while, and make it available again when it's back.

Ran out of an option, like a sauce or a topping? Mark it as out of stock, so your customers can't choose it. You can do this until further notice, or pause it for a while: when that time has passed, the option becomes available again by itself.

How to mark an addition value as out of stock

  1. Go to Dashboard and open the Availability Manager by clicking Manage.

  2. Search for the option. Then:

    1. Mark it out of stock, or

    2. Pause it temporarily: for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, until tomorrow (it's available again at 07:00 tomorrow) or for a custom amount of time (set a date and hour). When that time has passed, the option becomes available again by itself. No need to remember to switch it back.

  3. Click Pause. Done ✅

Before clicking Manage, you can see all products and additions that are marked as out of stock or paused. Filter on additions only to find your options quickly.

An option that's already marked out of stock won't show up in the search bar.

How to make it available again

  1. Go to the Availability Manager via Dashboard.

  2. Select the option in the list.

  3. Click Restore. Done ✅

Out of stock or disabled?

  • Out of stock: for when you temporarily ran out. You switch it back when it's in stock again, or it comes back by itself after a pause.

  • Disabled: for an option you don't offer for now, like a seasonal topping. Read How to enable or disable addition values.

Connected to a POS?

Some POS systems can share their stock with orderBilly. If Sync stock is switched on in your POS sync settings, your POS can mark items as sold out, or as available again, automatically.
