When you click “Details” on an order, you’ll see a detailed view with all relevant information about that specific order.
The order details view is split into two columns. Check the right-hand column, which shows the most important, high-level information in a ticket-style layout:
What information is shown in the Order Details?
1. Billy Order ID
At the top of the panel, you’ll find the Billy Order ID.
This is the unique identifier for the order and is especially useful when contacting support or searching for a specific order.
2. Customer
Below the Order ID, you’ll see the customer name associated with the order (if available).
This helps you quickly identify who placed the order.
3. Order Status, Payment Status & Checkout Method
These status indicators give you an instant overview of the current state of the order.
Order Status
New – The order is paid and still needs interaction
In progress – The order has been accepted by the bar or kitchen and is being prepared
Done – The order is ready. Depending on your setup, it is marked as done by your staff on an orderBilly device or automatically by your POS system
Archived – The order is completed and archived
Who changes the order status?
An order can move to the next status in three ways:
Your staff – on an orderBilly device, such as an ordering device, kiosk or live screen
Your POS system – if your venue is connected to a POS, orderBilly receives status updates from it
orderBilly automatically – orders are archived automatically after a while (see below)
You can see which one changed the status in the order operations.
Payment Status
Paid – The order has been successfully paid using one of the payment methods configured in your account
