Most customers choose the same option, like 'Medium' as size or 'Fries' as side? Pre-select it. The option is already selected when your customer opens the product, so they order faster. They can still change it if they want something else.
How to mark an addition value as pre-selected
Go to Catalogue > Additions and find the addition the value belongs to.
Click Edit, then "Go to detail page".
Scroll to Addition options and click > on the option.
Switch on Default selection.
Click Save. Done ✅
Good to know: Pre-selected options count towards the maximum amount of the addition. With a maximum of 1, pre-select only one option. Read How to set a minimum and maximum number of choices (min, max and multimax)
Should the option always be included, without customers being able to change it? Lock the addition as well. Read How to pre-define and lock addition values
Connected to a POS?
If orderBilly is connected to your POS, your addition values come from your POS. Pre-selecting an option is done in orderBilly, following the steps above.
A pre-selected option that your customer keeps is sent to your POS together with the order, just like any other choice.
