An addition is the question your customer answers when ordering a product, like 'Choose your sauce' or 'How would you like it cooked?'. Its name and description are what your customers read above the options. You can change both, and add a translation for every language on your menu.
How to edit the name or description of an addition
Go to Catalogue > Additions and find the addition in the list.
Click Edit, then "Go to detail page".
Under General information, change the Name and/or Description. Add a translation for every language on your menu.
Click Save. Done ✅
Good to know: A description keeps the line breaks you type. So a description written over several lines also reads that way on your menu.
Want to change the name of one of the options in the addition, like 'Ketchup'? Read How to edit the name or description of an addition value.
Connected to a POS?
If orderBilly is connected to your POS, your additions come from your POS. Whether a change in orderBilly sticks depends on your POS sync settings:
Sync names on: the name in your POS overwrites the name in orderBilly with every sync. Change the name in your POS instead.
Sync names off: the name you set in orderBilly stays, even if it's different in your POS.
Sync descriptions works the same way for the description.
Not connected to a POS? Then you manage your additions in orderBilly only, and your changes are never overwritten.
