Where you change a price depends on one thing: is orderBilly connected to your POS?
Option 1: My orderBilly is connected to a POS
If orderBilly is linked to your POS (Lightspeed, Trivec, Untill, CloudPOS, …), your POS is leading. Prices are always managed in your POS and copied into orderBilly with every sync.
This makes sure orders arrive in your POS at exactly the prices your POS expects. If prices could be changed in orderBilly, orders could reach your POS with the wrong price and an error would occur.
To change a price:
Go to your POS backoffice and change the price of the product there.
In the orderBilly backoffice, go to Catalogue > Products and click Sync with POS.

orderBilly also syncs with your POS automatically every night. So if you forget step 2, the new price will still show up the next day.
Good to know: You can switch off syncing for names, descriptions and images, but not for prices. A price you change in orderBilly will always be overwritten by the next sync.
Option 2: My orderBilly is not connected to a POS
Go to Catalogue > Products. Find the product in the list and click the pencil on the right, or search for it with the search bar at the top.
A panel opens on the right, where you can change the base price right away. To set takeaway or delivery prices and tax rates, click "Go to detail page" and scroll to Pricing. More on that below.
Enter the new price and click Save. Your changes have been saved!
Tax rates
Connected to a POS
Your tax rates come from your POS as well, so change them there.
Not connected to a POS
Prices include VAT. The price you enter is what your customer pays. orderBilly works out the VAT from that price for your receipts and reports.
Each price has its own tax rate. The dine-in, takeaway and delivery prices each have their own rate, because the VAT rate can depend on whether the product is eaten on-site or taken away.
Not sure which rate applies to a product? Your accountant can tell you.

Your dine-in, takeaway and delivery prices come from your POS as well, so change them there.
Not connected to a POS
A product can have three prices:
Restaurant (base price): used for eat-in orders, like table service or pickup at the counter.
Takeaway: used for takeaway orders.
Delivery: used for delivery orders.
Which price does my customer see?
That depends on the menu they order from. Each menu has a price type, which is set automatically from how the menu works. A table service menu uses the restaurant price, a takeaway menu uses the takeaway price, and a delivery menu uses the delivery price. You can change this in the menu's settings if needed.
No takeaway or delivery price set? Then the restaurant price is used. So if your takeaway price should be different, fill it in. Otherwise your customers will pay the dine-in price.
