Every QR code in orderBilly can be disabled or deleted. They work very differently:
Disable — temporary and reversible. The code stops working until you switch it back on.
Delete — permanent. The code is gone for good and cannot be restored.
Only want a code to stop for now? Disable it. Clearing out codes you'll never use again? Delete them.
How to disable a QR code
1. Go to QR Codes In the left-hand menu, click Tables & QR > QR Codes > QR-code Organizer.
2. Find the right code You'll see a list of all QR codes, grouped by type:
Venue — general codes for your location
Table — codes linked to specific tables
Menu — codes that link directly to a menu
Custom URL — codes with a custom destination
Use the filter options on the left or the search bar at the top to quickly find the code you're looking for.
3. Turn off the toggle On the right side of each QR code, you'll find a green toggle under the Enabled column. Click it to disable the code. The toggle turns grey — the code is now inactive.
4. Done Customers who scan the QR code will no longer be able to place orders through it. No confirmation or manual save is needed — the change takes effect immediately.
Re-enabling a QR code
Want to activate the code again later? Simply click the toggle again. It turns green and the code is immediately active.
How to delete a QR code
1. Go to QR Codes In the left-hand menu, click Tables & QR > QR Codes > QR-code Organizer.
2. Find the right code Use the filters or the search bar to find the code you want to remove.
3. Click delete You can delete a code directly from its row in the list, or from the code's own page.
4. Check how the code has been used Before anything is deleted, a confirmation window shows when the code was last scanned and its total number of scans. Use this to make sure you're not removing a code that's still in use.
5. Confirm Confirm the deletion.
Deleting is permanent
A deleted QR code cannot be restored, and it can never be paired to a table again. Take down any stickers, flyers or signs that carry the code. If you might need the code later, disable it instead.
Extra check for recently used codes
If a code was scanned in the last 30 days, you'll see a second warning and a short countdown before you can confirm the deletion. This gives you a moment to double-check that the code isn't still on a table or sign that customers are using. The same applies to codes whose scans have no date recorded, which can be the case for imported codes.
Codes that were last scanned more than 30 days ago, or never scanned at all, skip this extra step — so clearing out old, unused codes stays quick.
Your scan data is kept
Deleting a QR code does not remove its history. All scans recorded before the deletion stay in your reporting.
Keep in mind
Disabling or deleting a table QR code has no effect on other tables or codes — each code works independently.
When you disable a code, the physical QR code (sticker or printed sheet) does not change, so there's no need to reprint anything when you re-enable it. Disabled codes remain visible in your overview.
When you delete a table's QR code, the table is left without one — a new code is not created automatically. To give the table a code again, pair a spare sticker to it or create a new QR code.
Not sure whether a code is still in use? Disable it first. If nobody misses it, you can always delete it later.
