Order Details

More about all the details and information of an order placed with Billy

When you click “Details” on an order, you’ll see a detailed view with all relevant information about that specific order.

The order details view is split into two columns. Check the right-hand column, which shows the most important, high-level information in a ticket-style layout:

What information is shown in the Order Details?

1. Billy Order ID

At the top of the panel, you’ll find the Billy Order ID.
This is the unique identifier for the order and is especially useful when contacting support or searching for a specific order.


2. Customer

Below the Order ID, you’ll see the customer name associated with the order (if available).
This helps you quickly identify who placed the order.


3. Order Status, Payment Status & Checkout Method

These status indicators give you an instant overview of the current state of the order.

Order Status

  • New – The order is new and still needs interaction

  • Preparing – The order has been accepted by the bar or kitchen and is being prepared

  • Done – The order is ready and has been served to the customer

  • Finished – The order is completed and archived

Payment Status

  • Paid – The order has been successfully paid using one of the payment methods configured in your account

Checkout Method

This indicates how the order was placed and how it should be fulfilled:

  • Table Service

  • Direct Pickup

  • Take-out

  • Delivery


4. Order Items & Pricing

This section shows a full breakdown of the order:

  • Items that were ordered

  • Any discounts applied

  • Service fees (if applicable)

  • The total price of the order

This gives you a clear financial overview at a glance.


5. Order Timestamps

At the bottom of the panel, you’ll find timestamps showing when key actions happened, such as:

  • Order creation

  • Payment time

  • When the order was sent to the POS

  • When it was marked as done

  • When it was finished

These timestamps help you track the full lifecycle of an order.


6. Operations

This is a technical overview of all steps and actions that happed in the context of this specific order. Operations are very helpful for troubleshooting issues.
