How to adapt venue settings?

Updated this week

To adjust venue settings, go to Settings in the backoffice, then click on Venue.

Adapting venue settings

You can easily adjust your venue settings to update your address, change the language preferences, or modify your stock settings. This is an area you usually don’t need to change - most of the time, it’s best to leave it as it is. But we’ll explain what everything means.

  • The name of your venue

  • The display name is what your customers will see.

  • The description is the description that appears when people scan your code

  • Address tip: Instead of entering your address here, it’s better to enter the name of your business. This way, it will be linked to Google Maps right away.

Here’s what the different toggles mean:

  • Hidden: Keep this off. If it’s on, your venue will be hidden and customers won’t be able to access it.

  • Ratings: After placing an order, customers will have the option to leave a rating if they wish.

  • Force QR rescan: When enabled, customers will need to rescan the QR code for every new order. This is useful to prevent people from ordering remotely if they still have the menu open from an earlier scan.

  • Use POS status: Determines whether orderBilly should follow your POS system’s status or use orderBilly’s status instead.

Language configuration (menu)

If you set the primary language to English, everything will appear in English whenever the phone isn’t set to a specific language. Important: You must always enter the translations for the menus yourself.

Stock

Here you can choose whether or not to take stock levels into account.

With ‘Reset sold-out products’, you can set a time (for example, 6 AM) for the stock to automatically refill.

Personalisation config

When you enable this toggle, you can choose which tags are visible to customers. Some tags may not be relevant to display. If you disable the toggle, all tags will be shown.
