Configure Synchronization Settings
Go to Settings > POS Integration to see the checkboxes that control how Lightspeed K-Series and orderBilly sync.
Important: Check your sync settings before making changes in orderBilly. A sync can overwrite some or all of your changes. This article explains where to apply changes safely, depending on your settings.
orderBilly syncs automatically with Lightspeed K-Series every night. You can also trigger a manual sync anytime via Catalogue > Sync Menus.
Sync Names
When enabled, orderBilly pulls the product name from Lightspeed and applies it automatically.
On: product names stay identical to Lightspeed and update automatically when changed there.
Off: use different names in orderBilly than in Lightspeed, or use translations.
Since translations live in orderBilly (not Lightspeed), a sync can overwrite the base product name. The initial product name might change after a sync but the translations will never automatically change. If you use translations, manage product names manually.
Sync Descriptions
When enabled, orderBilly pulls the product description from Lightspeed and applies it automatically.
On: descriptions stay identical to Lightspeed and update automatically when changed there.
Off: use different descriptions in orderBilly than in Lightspeed, or use translations.
As with names, a sync can overwrite the base description even though translations stay untouched. The initial product name might change after a sync but the translations will never automatically change. If you use translations, manage descriptions manually.
Sync Images
When enabled, orderBilly pulls the product image from Lightspeed and applies it automatically.
On: images stay identical to Lightspeed and update automatically when changed there.
Off: use different images in orderBilly. Add images manually via Catalogue > product detail page.
Auto Link Products and Categories
orderBilly can mirror Lightspeed's menu structure, automatically adding or removing products in a category when they're added or removed in Lightspeed. Categories linked this way show the Lightspeed logo.
You can mix linked (Lightspeed) categories and orderBilly-only categories on the same menu.
Sync Tables
Sync tables via Tables > Sync Tables. This is required for eat-in menus so customers can select the correct table, and to generate correct table QR codes.
Sync Stock
Lightspeed stock levels can sync to orderBilly so products go out of stock automatically once a limit is reached. Alternatively, manage stock entirely in orderBilly (sync off), or skip stock management altogether.
Important: If you edit something in orderBilly (e.g. images) that a sync setting controls, make sure that setting is switched off — otherwise the next nightly or manual sync will overwrite your change.
