Updated over 2 months ago

Want your digital menu to reflect your venue’s vibe? With orderBilly’s theming features, you’re in full control of the look and feel. Head to ‘Settings’ → ‘Theming’ in your backoffice and start customizing!

1. Style: set the mood of your header image

Choose how your header photo is displayed:

  • Original – adds a soft gradient in your primary color over the image.

  • No overlay – shows your image as-is, no filter.

  • Minimal – hides the image for a clean, minimal layout.

2. Logo: upload your brand in style

You can upload your logo here. Some tips for the best result:

  • The logo sits in a horizontal bar at the top of the menu.

  • A horizontal logo fits best and looks clean.

  • Round or vertical logos tend to show small and less clearly.

  • Best result? A white logo with a transparent background (PNG).

3. Cover image: add some atmosphere

Upload a cover image to appear at the top of your menu.
Here’s what works best:

  • A wide, welcoming photo of your venue – think full terrace or cozy interior.

  • Avoid close-ups of food or drinks (those are better for product photos).

  • Ideal aspect ratio? 16:9 or other horizontal formats.

4. Colors: bring your brand to life

Make your menu pop with the right color choices:

  • Primary color – the main accent color of your menu.

  • Menu background color – the background of the menu itself. Tip: a very light version of your primary color often works best.

  • Text color – this applies to header titles. Using white text can look great if your logo is also white.

  • Category text color – the color for your menu categories. We recommend a neutral, darker tone like dark grey for best readability.

With these theming tools, your menu won’t just be functional – it’ll feel like you. Have fun customizing!
