How to change the product name and product description on the orderBilly menu

Your product names and product descriptions are the essence of the menu since those are the 2 pieces of information the customer needs the most to make an order decision.

When orderBilly is connected to your Lightspeed L-Series POS, orderBilly will retrieve the product names and descriptions through the synchronization.
It's important to know in the first place to check your synchronization settings between orderBilly and Lightspeed. You can read all about it in this article.

In this article, we'll explain how to modify the product name and description when the synchronization for those 2 is active.

  1. MODIFYING THE PRODUCT NAME
    In order to modify the product name, we should always modify the name first in Lightspeed and then synchronize with orderBilly. The name modification will then happen automatically in orderBilly.
    Modifying a prodcut

    1. Go to your Lightspeed backoffice and click on Products and select the category of the product you'd like to change

    2. Click on the product and change the name, then save your changes

    3. Go to the orderBilly backoffice and navigate to the 'catalogue' and press 'sync products'.

    4. Done ✅

  2. MODIFYING THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
    Here we apply the exact same steps in order to change or add a product description.

    1. Go to your Lightspeed backoffice and click on Products and select the category of the product you'd like to change

    2. Click on the product and change the description. You can find the description field in the 'advanced product settings'.

    3. Go to the orderBilly backoffice and navigate to the 'catalogue' and press 'sync products'.

    4. Done ✅
