CloudPOS synchronization settings
Learn your optimal synchronization settings between your CloudPOS and orderBilly
Updated over a year ago
Configure Synchronization Settings
Go to 'settings' - 'POS Integration' and you'll see checkboxes which determine the way CloudPOS and orderBilly behave while synchronizing.
Important:
First, check your sync settings before you apply modifications in orderBilly. Because a synchronization can erase some or all of your work. This article helps to determine where you should apply modifications, based on your sync settings.
orderBilly synchronises automatically on a nightly basis with CloudPOS.
You can always initiate a manual sync by clicking on 'catalogue' - 'sync products' - 'sync categories'.
Sync names
When 'sync names' is activated, orderBilly will retrieve the product name from the CloudPOS product and add it automatically to the product in the orderBilly menu.
Switch on if you want orderBilly to have the exact same product names as your CloudPOS and automatically change when name modifications have been made in CloudPOS.
Switch off if you want different names in your orderBilly menu as in your CloudPOS. And also if you want to use translations in your menu.
Since translations are added in orderBilly and not in CloudPOS, the initial product name might change after a sync but the translations will never automatically change. That's why product names should be managed manually when adding translations.
Sync descriptions
When 'sync descriptions' is activated, orderBilly will retrieve the product description from the CloudPOS product and add it automatically to the product in the orderBilly menu.

Sync images
When 'sync images' is activated, orderBilly will retrieve the product image from the CloudPOS product and add it automatically to the product in the orderBilly menu.
Switch on if you want orderBilly to have the exact same product image as your CloudPOS and automatically change when image modifications have been made in CloudPOS.
Switch off if you want different images in your orderBilly menu as in your CloudPOS. You can always manually add pictures to products in orderBilly by going to the product detail page through 'catalogue'.
Auto link products and categories
OrderBilly can copy the menu structure from CloudPOS. Meaning it can automatically add or delete products in a category when products are added or deleted in CloudPOS. This allows you to add categories to your orderBilly menu which 'communicate' with CloudPOS. You can recognize those categories because it shows the CloudPOS Logo next to it.
This way you can either choose directly linked categories with CloudPOS on your orderBilly menu or orderBilly created categories. You can also make a mix on your menu with both CloudPOS linked categories and orderBilly categories.
Sync tables
Tables can be synced by going to 'tables' and click on 'sync tables'.
This is important for all 'eat-in' menus to be able to choose the correct table and also for the creation of the correct table QR-code.
Sync stock
The CloudPOS stock can be synced with orderBilly with the goal to automatically put a product out of stock when the stock limit is reached.
You can also manage stock solely in orderBilly, without CloudPOS intervening (stock sync switched off) or there is no active stock management.
Important:
If you make changes to certain elements, such as images, within orderBilly, ensure that the "Sync Images" option is unchecked. Otherwise, any changes made in orderBilly could be overwritten during the nightly or manual sync process.
