Welcome to Selling Tools

Smart functionalities that help your revenue grow.

Updated this week

OrderBilly comes with a set of powerful, built-in tools designed to help your customers explore your full assortment - and help you boost sales.
We offer four different types of selling tools. Let’s take a closer look.

  • Spotlights

Showcase items right at the top of your menu. Highlight new arrivals, bestsellers, or anything else you want to spotlight.

  • Recommendations

  • Upsell & cross-sell

  • Basket discounts & fees

Popular

What: This is an automatically created category where we display the top 5 most popular ordered products during the last 3 months. This is the place to push products on top or give them extra attention.

Where: This category is on top of the menu, indicated with a star-icon. This category is the first one your consumers will see right after entering the menu.

How to set up: Billy will put automatically the top 5 topsellers in this category, but you can remove or add other products upon what you like, want to push, have morge margin,…

Favourite

What: This is an automatically created category where we display the top 5 most ordered products of the specific user. This will bring up the personal favourite items for every consumer on top to boost re-ordering.

Where: This category is on top of the menu, indicated with a heart-icon. This category is the first one your consumers will see right after entering the menu.

How to set up: Fully automated. You’re able to turn off this functionality.

Upsell

What: With this feature you can replace one or more items in the basket with one or more other items. E.g. a 25cl beer to 33cl beer. small fries to big fries. But also 3 glasses of wine to a bottle of wine.

Where: This upsell will be offered to your consumer when they enter the basket.

How to set up: You can select the ‘original product’, define the amount in the basket, and the ‘upsell product’.

You can define the priority of the rule. (this takes effect when there are more than 3 upsell rules active in 1 basket, so we only show the 3 rules with highest priority, to not overload the consumer with upsells.

Recommendations

What: With this feature you can suggest one or more items when the consumer chooses to put a product in the basket. E.g. a cake with a coffee. a paired beer with the main dish.

Where: The recommendations will take place when the consumer clicks on an item, in the overlay.

You can have max. 3 recommendations per item.

How to set up: Create a recommendation, give it a name e.g. ‘Want a dessert?’, a description ‘Selected by our chef’. Next up you choose the items you want to recommend. On the right side you find a full list of items, here you can check the ones you want to ask the recommendation for.

X-sell

What: With this feature you can push another product (max. 3) just before payment. Great to push a last generic item and boost your average ticket size.

Where: When confirming the basket, right before entering the payment screen.

How to set up: Choose one ore more items you want to crosssell.

Weather Categories

What: This feature will put a category on top when the weather is bad, and an other category on top, when the weather is good. E.g. Cocktails on top when the weather is good, Hot drinks when bad weather.

Where: This functionality will only overwrite temporary the sorting of the categories on your menu.

How to set up: You can turn on the location (and simulate good and bad weather) and select the category you want to put on top for the different weather conditions.

Spotlights (only for multivenue)

What: This feature will put items from seperate venues on top on the venues overview page. So you can push specific items without having the consumer clicking into the different venues. E.g. The veggie assortment. Or the deals of the week.

Where: On top of the venue overview screen.

How to set up: You can create a spotlight and add items from all different venues in your organisation. You can add a title and description. And you can also add availibility hours to schedule it’s visibility.
