Navigating to takeout slot usage
Log in to the orderBilly backoffice.
Go to the dashboard section in the navigation menu.
Click on "takeout slot usage".
The management screen displays an overview of all time slots for the selected day, showing the current occupancy and capacity for each slot.
Understanding the Time Slot Overview
Each time slot displays the following information:
The time of the slot (e.g. 11:30, 11:40, 12:00 ...)
A progress bar showing how many orders have already been placed
The occupancy as a number (e.g. 5/50 = 5 orders out of 50 available)
A number with β and + buttons to adjust the capacity
A lock icon to block or unblock the time slot
Color coding:
Color | Meaning |
π΄ Red | The time slot is blocked. Customers can no longer place orders in this slot. |
π’ Green | The time slot is open. Orders have been placed but capacity is still available. |
βͺ Grey/empty | The time slot is open but no orders have been placed yet (0/50). |
Blocking or Unblocking a Time Slot
You can block a time slot when you no longer want to receive new orders for a specific time β for example during busy periods or when short-staffed.
To block a time slot:
Find the desired time slot in the list.
Click the lock icon on the right side of the time slot.
The slot turns red and is now closed for new orders.
To unblock a time slot:
Click the lock icon again on the blocked (red) time slot.
The slot becomes active again and customers can place orders in it.
Note: Existing orders in a blocked time slot are not cancelled. Blocking only prevents new orders from being placed.
Adjusting Capacity per Time Slot
By default, each time slot has a maximum capacity (e.g. 50 orders). You can increase or decrease this per time slot based on the available capacity in your kitchen or store.
Click the + button to increase the maximum capacity. The change is saved immediately.
Click the β button to decrease the capacity. Make sure not to set it below the number of orders already placed.
Capacity settings only apply to the selected day and selected menu. To change the default capacity for all days, do so through the general menu settings.
Selecting Menu and Date
At the top of the screen you can choose which menu and date to manage time slots for:
Menu: Select the desired menu from the dropdown (e.g. "Take out"). Each menu has its own time slots.
Date: Use the left and right arrows next to the date, or click the calendar icon to select a specific date.
Tip: Always verify that the correct date is selected before making changes. Time slot adjustments are date-specific.
