In the categories section, you can assign categories to your products, making it easier to organize and find them on the menu card. For example, labeling items as ‘Beers’ or ‘Starters’ helps your guests quickly browse through the menu.
You can create categories directly in orderBilly or manage them through your POS system. To access your categories, go to ‘Catalogue’ > ‘Categories’.
Here, you'll find an overview of all your existing categories.
Here, you can view the names of your categories - such as “Beers,” “Starters,” or “Desserts.”
This tab also shows which menus each category is linked to.
If you see a red clock icon, it means the category has specific opening hours.
This is useful, for example, if you serve a dinner menu that should only be visible in the evening.
When you add or edit a categorie, this section will show up:
Here, you can update the name, description, and even add a photo to your category.
You can also choose to make a category staff-order only by enabling this setting.
This is useful, for example, in a café where drinks can be ordered through orderBilly, but food orders need to be placed through a staff member.

Important Note:
The products linked to your categories are managed directly through your POS system. You cannot make these changes in orderBilly - any adjustments must be done within your POS.
