How to reboot/reset your Mollie Pax A35 terminal

If the Mollie Pax A35 payment terminal is not working correctly, please follow these steps.

If your PAX A35 terminal is frozen, unresponsive, or not working as expected, a simple reboot often solves the problem. Follow the steps below.

Before You Start

  • This reboot takes about 1–2 minutes.

  • Make sure you're not in the middle of processing a payment before restarting.

Steps to Reboot

  1. Press and hold the green and red buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. These are the buttons located on the front of the terminal, below the screen.

  2. Tap "Reboot" on the screen. Once you release the buttons, a reboot option will appear on the touchscreen. Tap it to confirm.

  3. Wait for the terminal to restart. The terminal will automatically reboot into its software. When the restart is complete, you'll see the Mollie logo appear on the screen — this confirms the terminal is back up and running normally.

Terminal Rebooted, But Still Having Issues?

Try 'Cycle Keys'

If rebooting didn't solve the problem, you can try the cycle keys function. This re-establishes the terminal's secure connection and often resolves issues a simple reboot doesn't fix.

Important: Make sure the terminal is connected to the internet before starting this process.

  1. Tap the Mollie logo on the terminal screen 8 times, as quickly as you can.

  2. Enter the PIN code 1015.

  3. Check the status bar at the top of the screen.

    • If it's green and says "Ready to use," the terminal is already working correctly.

    • If it's red, tap the status bar and select "Cycle keys."

  4. Wait for the process to finish. Once cycling is complete, the status bar should turn green and show "Ready to use."

Still Not Working?
