How to Preview the Self-Ordering Kiosk on a PC

This guide explains how to display the kiosk ordering screen on a desktop computer for testing or demonstrations.

Step 1 – Open the orderBilly management portal

  1. Open the management portal in Google Chrome.

  2. Navigate to the Devices section.

  3. Select the Kiosk V2 device you want to preview.

Step 2 – Open the kiosk page

  1. Open the kiosk ordering page in a new browser tab.

  2. Wait until the ordering interface has fully loaded.

Step 3 – Open Developer Tools

  1. Right-click anywhere on the page.

  2. Select Inspect.

Alternatively:

  • Windows: F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I

  • Mac: ⌥ Option + ⌘ Command + I

Developer Tools will appear.

Step 4 – Enable Device Mode

  1. In Developer Tools, click the Toggle Device Toolbar icon (phone/tablet icon).

Or press:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + M

  • Mac: ⌘ Command + Shift + M

The webpage now switches to a mobile-sized viewport.

Step 5 – Create a new device

From the dimensions dropdown at the top of the page:

  • Choose 'edit'

  • Click on 'add custom device'
    ​

  • Fill in the name and user agent string with 'Kiosk'

  • Fill in 1080 x 1920 as the dimensions of the device
    ​

Step 6 – Display the Kiosk

The ordering interface is now displayed exactly as customers would see it on a kiosk or self-ordering terminal.

You can now:

  • Navigate through categories

  • Browse products

  • Test ordering flows

  • Demonstrate the customer experience

  • Verify layouts and responsiveness
